Mangaluru: Popular Front of India (PFI) distributed scholarships of worth Rs 13.93 lakh to 180 students on Sunday at Jamiyathul Falah hall in the city.
Speaking on the occasion MLA J R Lobo said that knowledge and personality development are the two things which helps to face the social problems and to build a successful carrier.
“The students who have availed scholarships from PFI should reach higher positions in their life and they should also help economically backward students for their education. We should develop our servicing mentality by helping the needy people,” he said.
State Minority Corporation President M A Gafoor said that religious education is also needed along with academics. He urged the parents to provide quality education to their children.
PFI state President Shafi Bellare, district President Haneef Katipalla, Corporator Ayaz Krishnapura and others were present.
