Mangalore : The Silver Jubilee Convocation and Awards Ceremony of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, India Section will be held at Hotel Ocean Pearl on December 17, Saturday.

Speaking at press meet Dr U S Krishna Nayak at Press Club on Dec 15, Thursday he said that around 43 new fellows will be inducted into the fold of the Academy. The president of Dental Council of India, Prof Dibyendu Mazumder, is the chief guest for the function and N V Hegde, chancellor; Nitte University will be the Guest of Honour.

Toppers of various Universities, at the BDS under graduate level, will be awarded in the function.

There will also be a continuing Dental Education Programme, which will be held at AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Derlakatte and Mangalore at 9 am to 1 pm on December 17, Saturday.

As a part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, a supplementary convocation was also held in Kathmandu, Nepal on 15th and 16th November this year, to induct 14 new fellows mostly from Nepal into the PFA, India Section.
