Mangalore: M. Praveen Kumar of Hubli, not the mayor, won the Pilikula open Golf Championship Trophy in its 13the year played last week-end, at the Pilikula Golf course on the outskirts of Vamanjoor here.

Col. Rajesh Parman had to settle for runner-up place. There were two other sets of winners in 0-10 and 11-18 net stroke play, with V. Machaiah and Aaron of Mangalore, as winners placed first respectively.

For 19-26 handicaps, P.B. Thimmaiah emerged winner. Eugene Rent Grabbed top position for the Stable ford handicaps below 18, while Maj. Gen. Mitra from ASC, Bangalore took the winning post in handicaps 19-26.

Rajesh Parman of Bangalore won highest Birds and Eagles trophy.

Anwar Manippady (KSMC) gave away the awards.
