Mangaluru: After the two successful ‘Swach Bharat Mission’ Ramakrishna Ashram will launch its third phase of Swach Bharat Mission from October 2. As a orientation for the campaign, Ashram had organised a programme at Ashram auditorium, on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering President of Ramakrishna Math Jitakamananda Swamiji said that many initiatives has been undertaken by the Central government in many places. Until the public involves in it, there will not be any success in the mission.
“Already Ashram has completed 40 weeks of Swach Bharat Abhiyan here in Mangaluru in previous two phases. Many people had actively participated in the campaign and Ashram thanks them for their participation. After the success of first two experimental faces, Ashram is launching its third phase of campaign,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion MLA J R Lobo said that drainage problems of the city will be sorted out soon, as the government has allotted funds for that.
“Mangaluru has been selected for Smart City project, for the development of Mangaluru as a smart city we need support of the public more than any other. We can create a cleanest city in the state by joining hands with Ramakrishna Ashram in the campaign and the city might become cleanest city in the country if we tried hard,” he added.
Chancellor of Nitte University Dr N Vinay Shetty, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Dr B M Hegde, Managing Director of MRPL, Kumar and others were present.
