Mangalore : The RM Group will organize the Mass Marriage ceremony for the poor couples at RM Auditorium Bellare on August 7, Saturday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Ocean Pearl on Aug 4, Wednesday, Amchinadka Abdul Khader Haji, chairman, RM Group of Companies said that the mass marriage will be conducted for Hindu , Christian and Muslim couples and the religious priests of all the three religion will perform the marriage rituals.
He also said that around 30 poor couples will tie the nuptial knot on the occasion. The RM Group will also give eight pawan gold for bride along with cash amount of Rs 10,000 and Rs 3,000 for the traveling expenses and food facility for 25 people for the relatives of bride.
Whereas the groom will be given cash amount of Rs 10,000 and Rs 3,000 for the traveling expenses and food facility for 25 people for the relatives of groom. The couples have to submit the school or birth certificate and copy of ration card, he said.
Honourable Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullapally Ramachandran will inaugurate the RM Mass Marriage, while Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will preside over the function.
Honourable Home Minister Dr V S Acharya will lay the foundation stone for RM Auditorium. B Janardhana Poojary, ex minister will distribute the gold for the brides. Mr Puttanna, deputy chairperson, legislative council will give away the cash amount to the grooms.
Krishna J Palemar, district in charge minister, Dhanjaya Kumar, Delhi Representative for Govt of Karnataka and K B Krishnamoorthy, secretary, AICC, New Delhi will participate as the chief guest.
Shaikuna Thwaka Ahamed Musliyar, Khazi of Mangalore, Sri Dharmapalanath Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Shaka Mutt and Fr Santhosh D’Souza, Panja will bless the couples on the occasion
