Mangaluru : The Customs officers at Mangaluru International Airport seized Foreign Currency value of 9000 Saudi Arabian Riyals, 23000 Qatar Riyals, 350 Omani Riyal, in various denominations, equivalent to Rs.6,13,068/- on Monday.

The passenger Mohammed Ali hailing Nellikunnu,, Kasaragod during his departure from Mangaluru International Airport in the evening of Monday by Jet Airway flight No.9W532 to Dubai the officials seized the money.

The passenger attempted to smuggle the said Foreign Currency out of India without valid money exchange documents and by concealment in his checked-in baggage.
