Mangalore: Security has been tightened and all precautionary measures have been taken in view of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s visit to Sri Gokarnanatha Temple on Octobe 18, Thursday to inaugurate the centenary celebrations of the Temple,.
Informing this, Harikrishna Bantwal, Member of the Temple Administrative committee said entry to the temple would be barred from 2 pm onwards. He also informed that only a limited number of people would be given entry to the temple and that the entry would be by passes only.
Those with passes must be inside the temple premises by 4 pm and they cannot leave the temple until the function was over, he said adding guests are not allowed to carry mobile phones, plastic bags, electronic items, and water bottles inside the venue.
Sairam, president of the temple administrative committee, Treasurer Padmaraj, entrepreneur Ramesh Kumar, and Urmila Ramesh Kumar were also present at the press meet.
