Udupi: 20-year-old Shaasthra Shetty from Udupi has been crowned Miss Queen Karnataka at a glittering Miss South India contest held in Cochin, Kerala on January 27.
Shaastra Shetty is a final year Media and Communications student at the School of Communication, Manipal University. The 20-year-old beauty competed with 35 contestants from across five states of India, among whom 8 were from Karnataka. With this, Shaastra Shetty has been selected for Miss Queen India contest to be held in July 2018.
Previously, Shaasthra bagged the Miss Mangaluru crown too. She aspires to finish IFS and become an Indian Ambassador in future.
Shaastra Shetty’s father Shashi Shetty runs a hotel business in Goa. Her mother Sharmila is a home maker. She completed her early education in Goa and high school and PUC in Vidyodaya School, Udupi.
