Capt Ganesh Karnik Delivering the Inaugural address on State-level conference ‘Spandana-2010,’

The Karnataka State Association for Special Association Educators and Supportive Staff organized a State-level conference ‘Spandana-2010,’ for the teachers and supportive staff for specially abled children at Town Hall on June 22, Tuesday.

Delivering the Inaugural address on the occasion, Capt Ganesh Karnik, member of Vidhan Parishat said that during his meet with Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, he showed special interest to participate in the programme, but he was unable to attend due to his busy schedule.

He also said that, the teachers problem of special schools have reached to the CM and he ensured to work for the development of special schools and teachers. The Special Association Educators and Supportive Staff are managing the responsibility of looking after the special children; hence it is our responsibility to fulfill their demands.


We must work to bring the smile on the face of special children, which not less than rendering service to god, he added.

Presiding over the occasion, MLA N Yogish Bhat, said that the origination has got great interest in organizing the conference and discuss the problem with the CM.  He assured Special Association Educators and Supportive Staff to discuss the matter with the CM to provide basic facility and pension to the teachers.

President of Mentally Challenged Civilians Parents Association Prof K R Venkatesh delivered a talk on the National Endowment Act while Bangardka Vishweshwar Bhat spoke on the opinions of the parents of mentally challenged children.

Vasanth Kumar Shetty, Conference Convenor welcomed the gathering. Agnes Kunder, President of Udupi Block, proposed vote of thanks. Prof Radhakrishna compered the programme.

MLA UT Khader, M Savithri, director of Handicap and Senior Citizen Welfare Department, Usha Jagirdhar, president of Conference and Kareppa B H , association secretary were present on the dais.
