Mangalore : Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim has directed all the urban local bodies (ULB) to conduct a survey of meat stalls and submit a report on the waste generated by the stalls and the place the dump.
Speaking at a meeting, DC said that most of the poultry stalls workers dumping of waste into rivers across the district, polluting the water and beauty of city. Hence, the officials must make a report after conducting the survey in the month of September and issue notices to the stalls owners, who dump the waste into water bodies.
If they failed to stick on to the rules, stringent action will be taken against them from the month of October under KMC Act, he added.
