Mangaluru : Lights Camera Action is a national level student short film contest, open to all students of India. This particular event is organised independently by a team named “ U-Turn creations ” formed by a bunch of engineering students who are very passionate about film-making.

Manu one of the founder of U-Turn creations says, when we started short-film making, we had no one to support us and also students get very rare opportunities to showcase their talents in the field of film-making, realising this we started LCA, where we provide a platform to young film-makers to showcase their talents.

This mega event will be taking place on Feb 19th and 20th, at Canara Engineering College, Mangalore. The main attraction of this event is Dynamic prince PrajwalDevraj, Tollywood beauty ManasaHimavarshaand their whole Mrugashirateam will be judging the student short-films.

Participants must register and submit their short films before 19thfeb, 10am. Final round and Award ceremony will be held on 20thfeb at 10am.

Rules and Regulations
• A team must contain minimum of 5registered college students. (Need not be from the same college).
• Last date for registration and submitting short-films is 19th Feb, 2015 (names of the members and their college need to be given)
(Registration Fee 200 Rs per head)
• Entries received after the last date of registration mentioned will not be considered.
• Short-films must be submitted in a DVD by 10.00AM to the Coordinators at Canara Engineering College.
• The Title of your short-film must start with theALPHABET “ C “ ,you can have your own sub-titles/tag lines.
• Your film must tell us a story about the title of your film.
• The Theme for competition can be interpreted in any way you choose, so be CREATIVE !
• Time limit: max 10 MINUTES.
• Movie credits will be counted as a part of the allotted time.
• FORMAT: .AVI OR .MP4
• Subtitles must be provided for films other than in English, Kannada or Hindi.
• Minimum resolution should be 720 x 576
• VIDEO CLIPS FROM OTHER VIDEOS ARE PROHIBITED.
• REMAKING OF FILMS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
• VULGARITY OR OBSCENITY WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION.

•Overall impact of the video
• The judges’ decision shall be final and binding.
• Top 5 short-films will be showcased duringthe Award ceremony at 10.00 AM in the Seminar Hall on 20.02.2015.
• LCA organizing committee will hold full rights to screen the short-films in any platform thereafter.
• All the short-films will be telecasted in a reputed TV channel with the interview of film-makers.
• Wild Card entries, if any, will be at the discretion of the organizing committee.
