It is learnt that, Retired teacher Irene Sahadevi, a resident of Church road, had been to sub treasury office along with his son to receive a cheque of Rs 13,326, her monthly pension for April on March 24, while Sadananda had asked her son to go out and asked Irene to pay Rs 5,000 to get her pension.
When Irene called Sadananda and told him to collect her cheque on May 2, he said to come on May 3 with the amount of Rs 5,000, but when she asked to pay Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 5,000, he said that it was not enough to distribute among his colleagues.
