Mangalore: A telefilm called ‘Kalpa vally’ (the vine that bestows wishes) based on the life and works of Mgr. Raymond F.C. Mascarenhas was released for public view, at the Bethany Hall on Monday evening, apart from launching a website on the servant of God, by the bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza. The telefilm was made by Bethany Educational Society.
Suitable lyrics were written by Sumukhanand Jalavally, a teacher at the Little Flower Girls’ High school in Kinnigoli.
Suresh Attavara directed the film on the biography of late Mascarenhas, with 100 artistes.
Sister Reena co-ordinated the theme. Superior-general sister Wilberta Welcomed the gathering. Sr. Rose Celine, secretary of BES spoke about the telefilm, while Sr. Lillis touched upon the Website created on special requests of admirers.
The Mangalore Bishop in his address praised Mgr. Raymond as a historical Character. Advertiser Fernandes of Four Winds was present on the occasion. The telefilm was shown.
