Mangaluru: “Injustice was done to the demand of Tulu Nadu during the formation of states in 1956. Some parts of Karnataka and Kerala where Tulu is the primary language, was not taken into consideration,” said Tulunad Federation Central Committee President Shailesh R J.
“Tulu language is being neglected. Karnataka and Kerala have cheated the people by not approving Tulu language as second language. Moreover, the governments are trying to curb the pro Tulu protests,” he said.
He further said that now the government is trying to turn the Netravati River through Yettinahole project. The government is deaf for the woes of costal people.
“There is need of organising do or die fight for the existence of Tulu language and culture,” he added.
