Mangaluru:The police have arrested four persons, including two dental students, on the charge of peddling narcotic drugs, including Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) stamps and Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) powder and pills.
The police gave the names of the accused as Nikhil K.B. (24) of Kanhangad in Kerala, Shravan Poojary (23) from Kulashekara, Roshan Vegas (22) from Kannur in Kerala and Bashim Bashir (22) from Thrissur in Kerala.
The police said that Roshan Vegas and Bashim Bashir were third year BDS students in a city dental college. Nikhil was a final year BE student in a city engineering college. Shravan Poojary passed out from a city engineering college in 2015.
The South Sub Division Anti Rowdy Squad, which received a tip-off, raided the place and seized nine grams of MDMA powder, 185 LSD stamps, 25 MDMA pills and an electronic weighing machine. The police have also seized four mobile phones, two motorcycles and two hukkas used by the accused.
The police said that the accused were supplying these drugs to parties in the city and on its outskirts. The police said that they were looking for a few more accused.
