Ullal: Venkappa Poojary (54), a resident of Sundaribag located in Ullal was died after he was hit by a train near Thokottu over bridge on Wednesday morning. He was walking on the railway track when he was hit by the train.

The deceased was construction worker by profession and based at Dharmanagara in Ullal. He was residing for some year at a rented house in Sundaribag leaving Dharmanagara. The deceased is survived by wife, a daughter and a son. Ullal police arrived at the accident spot soon after the incident and carried out an inquest in the area.
