Mangaluru : The Central government’s move to ban on cattle trade for slaughter Vishwa Hindu Parishad Gorakshak Pramukh Dinesh Pai welcomed and said that VHP strongly supports the order.
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday May 30, he said, that the Parishad will hold a campaign to create awareness for the full-fledged implementation of the ban. Authorities should take strict action against all those who flout the new rule and that they should also be made to sign a bond.
He condemned the recent incident in Kerala where Youth Congress activists slaughtered a cow in public, cooked its meat and distributed it. They should be charged under IPC Section 295 for hurting the sentiments of the Hindu community.
The ban on cattle trade for slaughter was passed on May 23. This notification needs to implemented at the earliest, Violators should not roam free and stringent action need to be taken against them, Cow slaughter can be completely banned across the country and culprits punished with five years of jail term, he added.
