Polling crossed 51% in Udupi district by 2pm

Udupi : Karkala raced forward in Udupi district assembly voting turn out by polling 55.24% by 2pm. Byndoor constituency recorded second highest polling 53.33% followed by Kundapur 50.61% and Kaup 47.21%. So, over all polling  percentage stood at 51.43% in Udupi district. The polling so far has been peaceful through out the five segments of the district and no untoward incident reported.

Voting update : Udupi district at 1pm

Udupi : Voting picked up its pace as 40% of voting taken place in Udupi district by 1 pm.

Almost half of the Udupi voters cast their votes by Sunday 1pm. Official figure shows the voters turn out as 45% in Udupi, 38% in Kaup, 40% in Kundapur.

The prominent among the voters are Pejavar Seer Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji, former BJP MLA of Kundapur  Halady Shrinivas Shetty, senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes and Kundapur BJP candidate Kishore Kumar.
