Puttur: A man hailing from Punchappady near Savanoor was brutally assaulted by two son-in-laws.

The victim is identified as Lingappa (31), who is a resident of Charvaka Kalanjody in Dolpady village.

Chitra, wife of Lingappa in her complaint stated that, because of water problem in Charvaka Kalanjody, for the past one week they have been staying in her maternal house in Punchappady.

On Wednesday, Pradeep and Sudheer who were Lingappa’s sister’s children came along with two other persons, and asked Lingappa’s wife Chitra to call her husband, since they have an important issue to discuss. When Lingappa appeared before them in his house, all the four persons attacked him with iron rods without speaking a word, according to Chirta’s complaint.

The reason for the attack is to be ascertained.
