Mangaluru  : Condemning the attack of  a few photo journalists by the relatives of Madoor Isubu who was killed in the District Prison, the DK District Working Journalists’ Union members  staged a protest  in front of the DC office here on Tuesday, November 3.

On Monday outside the Wenlock Hospital some photographers were taking photographs of the injured prison , who had admitted in hospital. The relatives of Madoor Isubu  started to  attack the photographers. 

Addressing the protesting journalists, Jagannath Shetty Bala, President of the District Working Journalists’ Union said, the attacks on journalists are increasing but the administration has not taken any steps to safeguard the freedom of press. He also demanded stern action against those responsible for the attack on journalists.

Harish Rai, Ravindra Shetty, former presidents, of the Union  Venkatesh Bantwal, Mohammed Arif, Jethendra K  and many other media men were present.
