DK district Health Officer (DHO) O Shrirangappa informed in a tri-monthly KDP review meeting on Monday and reported that H1N1 (a disease) cases did not exist in the coastal district. Seven cases that were earlier reported here were proved negative, when samples of throat swabs were sent to Hassan for lab-tests.
He also confirmed that all the hospitals in DK dt., are well equipped to face H1N1 genuine cases and stored up with medicines to treat H1N1 on regular basis.
City MLA, N Yogish Bhat asked ZP administration to write to the Govt on allotting temporary door numbers to every house within MCC limits, as in Bangalore.
The meeting was informed that 2,444 beneficiaries had received sites but there were nearly 50,000 families in DK dt. without housing sites.
MCC Commissioner Vijay Prakash and ZP president Shailaja Bhat among others were present.
District in charge minister K. Palemar referred to nearly 30 absentees at the quarterly meeting. It was decided to issue notices to all the (28) absentees and to initiate action against them for long period absenteeism.
