SRS demand speaker’s apology for statement on Abbakka

seneMangalore : Sri Rama Sena members protested demanding the resignation of Vidhan Sabha speaker Kagodu Thimmappa in front of DC Office on August 5, Monday.

Addressing the protestor,  Kumar Malemar, divisional chief of Sri Ram Sena said that speaker questioning Rani Abbakka’s service for the country is condemned.

The speaker has insulted Rani Abbakka who has fought against portuguese and given freedom to the people of tulunadu. The speaker must resign from the post or must apologize for the statement given against her without knowing history.

He also criticized, MLA UT Khader for remaining silent for the statement given by the speaker, even though he belongs to Abbakkas birth place and also being the president of Rani Abbakka Utsava Samithi.

Members also burnt the effigy of speaker Kagodu Thimmappa.
