Mangalore : Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has said that the exit of former CM BS Yeddyurappa from the BJP will not affect the party in any way.
Speaking to press persons at the Maryhill helipad in Mangalore on December 2, Sunday, the Chief Minister said the latest development in state politics following the exit of BSY will not have any bearing on the next assembly election results.
The CM said the BJP was strong in the state and its workers are striving to strengthen the base of the party at every village level.
He also said all the MLAs are with the BJP and said the BJP would emerge victorious in the next assembly elections.
On the Cauvery row, he said the State has made it stance clear and added it was difficult to release water to Tamil Nadu under the present circumstance.
A section of TV journalists boycotted the CM’s visit in protest against the arrest of journalist Naveen Soorinje.
