Mangalore : The Karnataka Bank Officers’ Organization affiliated to AIBOA organized the inaugural session of their 16th conference at PVS Kala Kunj on December 18, Saturday.
Delivering the inaugural address on the occasion, Comrade R J Sridharan, general secretary of AIBOA said that Bank is judicial and do not want any foreign banker. The banks are nationalized since they are utilizing the public resources. Unless the banks have resources, they cannot deploy the public sector, since they have their own problem.
He also said that one cannot compare American economy system to Indian economy system since their concerns are different.
If there is joint partnership between banks and government or other, then hundreds of problems would trouble us, he informed. We want to build India a corruption free country, but it is not possible since the political process interfere in between. Right kind of growth for people can be done only when there is sincere people working and they have job satisfaction.
He also said that Karnataka Bank is one of the role model for other banks in the banking industries.
Chief Guest P Jayaram Bhat, Managing Director and CEO of Karnataka Bank said that Karnataka Bank officers’ organization has grown in strength and there is growth of 500 officers. Banking industry is a challenging one. Year by year the headline inflation has come down and the food line inflation has been moderate.
Bank officers’ are the people dealing with money and they must know the scenario of bank, profit and margin, he added.
Com K Vishwanath Naik, general secretary, AIBOA, Karnataka State Committee and Com P R Karanth, general secretary, KBEA and Joint Secretary AIBEA were the guest of honours.
Com K Ravindran Aithal, president, KBOO presided over the function.
