Prohibitory orders clamped in Udupi district following Hijab verdict

kurma RaoUdupi :  Prohibitory orders imposed across the Udupi district till March 21, 6 PM as a preventive measure following the High Court verdict on Hijab row pronounced on Tuesday, March 15.

Section 144 has been clamped to maintain the law and order, said Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao.

During this time, people gathering in more than five members, taking out protests, public procession, installing banners, public gathering and programmes, bursting crackers, carrying articles which could be used for physical assault is prohibited.

Entry inside the campus without the permission of the college or school head will be restricted, stated a release from the DC office.
