Moodabdiri: The VHP, Bajrangdal and the BJP together handed over a sum of Rs 10 lakh to the family members of the Bajrang Dal activist Prashanth Poojary, who was hacked to death on Oct 9 in Moodabdiri.
After condolence meet was organised in Moodabidri on Thursday, which the Parivar members handed over the amount to Prashanth’s family members.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Sri Ram Sene National President Pramodh Muthalik who met the grieving family members of Prashanth at their residence in Moodabidri has said that the police has been rendered dysfunctional in this case due to political pressure to safeguard the culprits. However, in case justice is not made in Prashanth murder case then the entire Hindu community will stand together and fight for justice.
Alleging the Congress MLAs and Minister hailing from the region of protecting the murderers, Muthalik said that if the police want to maintain law and order in the region, they must arrest the culprits without succumbing to pressure.
Muthalik, questioning the double standards of the local Congress leaders said that when a cattle thieve was gunned down by an ANF personnel near SK border couple of years ago, the state government gave compensation of Rs 10 lac. But, when Prashanth was hacked to death by the communal fanatics, no minister even visits his family to console.
“The Hindus will answer the anti-Hindu ministers during elections,” he said.
