Karkala : A man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly repeatedly raped a bedridden woman.

It is said that the accused, identified as Ganesh Nayak (36), posed as a social worker and repeatedly raped a bedridden woman despite her refusal. He also threatened the woman and her mother with dire consequences if they revealed the incident to anyone.

Ganesh, a driver by profession visited the woman’s house pretending to be a social worker and raped the woman. However, the incident came to light only when the woman’s mother decided to file a complaint.

A case was registered and Ganesh was arrested; he was sent to a government hospital for medical tests. He was sent to 15 days judicial custody.

It is said that Ganesh is married and has a nine-year-old son.
