Mangalore :  Sandalwood’s Mungaru Male fame Pooja Gandhi to act act in tulu film ‘Beere Devu Poonje’, said R Dhanjay Mangalore, director and producer of the film.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on July 7, Wednesday, said that Pooja Gandhi will play the role of ‘Siddhu’, while other renowned actress Vinaya Prasad will act as ‘Maharani Somali Devi’ of Bailangady.
He also said that, In the film Devu Poonja’s role will be played by R Shekar Kotian who acted as ‘chennaya’ in the historical film ‘Koti – Chennaya’.
Th muhurat of the film will take place on September 10. The film will be shot within the budget of Rs 70 lakhs and the location chosen for the shooting are Padubidri, Venoor, Mulky and surrounding places, he said.

The film story written by Kadri Navneeth Shetty, is co-produced by Udaykumar Shetty and Dinkar Shetty. While the music given by Manikanth Kadri and costume designed by Chandrashekar Suvarna. Co- director Prakash Padubidri and S N B Murthy on the camera will also work for the success of the film, he added.

R Dhanjay Mangalore, Prakash Padubidri, Balakrishna, Rajesh and Vicent Sequiera were present at the press meet.
