Mangalore : The book release of ‘Thulunadige Dharmasthalada Kodugegalu’, authored by Abdul Azeez Haque, Chief Secretary of All India Beary Parishath was held at NGO Hall near Government College Mangalore on August 6, Friday.
Speaking after releasing the book, Harikrishna Punarooru, former president of Karnataka Sahithya Parishath said that, writing a book on Dharmastala and Dr D Veerendra Heggade itself is a great opportunity one can get. Dr Heggdae is a personality who can work can console and help the people in trouble.
Delivering the inaugural address on the occasion, U H Khalid Ujire, principal of National Tutorial College said that it takes lot of effort to write a book on Jain community, being born in Muslim community.
He also said that, Dr Veerendra Heggade is a symbol of communal harmony. He has not spoken out a word with harshness to any people. We did not see any national leaders, but Dr Heggade can be considered as one among them, he said.
Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, President of Dakshina Kannada Sahithya Parishath received the first copy of the book. B A Mohammed Haneef, president of All India Beary Parishath, resided over the function.
Rathnakar Jain, Owner of Jain travels, Abdul Rasheed, vice president of Ullal Sayyed Madani Darga, Grettare Rebello, member of Mangalore city corporation, Chandrahasa ullal, President of Ullal Cheerumbha Bhagavathi temple, Rehana Sheikh, social activist, Farooq Ullal participated as the chief guests on the occasion.
Pushpa Raj Jain of Abhish Builders and Developers welcomed the guests and gathering. Abdul Azeez Haque, author delivered the introductory speech on the occasion. Hussain Katipalla compred the programme.
