Mangalore: The Muhurat (auspicious start) of a new Tulu film, “Beere Devu Punje” which has a historic and folklore background in its story and a real interesting content in telling the story, was performed at 9.30 a.m today at a Bhootha Shrine in Panumbur.
Former Premier and MP Devegowda was the chief guest, according to Producer – Director R. Dhanraj who held a press meet on Thursday night.

The picture will be shot in Belthangady and completed in 3 months, he added. The budget is around Rs.60 lakhs. There are 5 songs. R. Siddhartha heads the cast, with Pooja Gandhi, Leelavathi and Umashree handling the female roles.
Pooja of `Mungaru Male’ fame handles 2 roles, of heroine and the Villain! Kadri Navaneetha Shetty, writer, was present. Several stars attended the press meet.
