Bangalore: The CID police teams have succeeded in arresting 10 more miscreants in the racket of leaking out question-papers, during PUC final exams, in March this year, and selling 3 of them in open market for private gains.
Education minister V.H. Kageri had entrusted the ‘busting of racket’ work to the Crime Intelligence Department cops, said Roop Kumar Datta, DG-CID, as informed on Monday.
Some of the ten arrested this week, were teachers and others were College employees. Due to leakage of Mathematics, Biology and chemistry question papers, the entire exams. Time-table was re-scheduled last month.
The exams were re-conducted from March 24 till April 5. Nearly lakhs students are appearing in these second year(final) PUC examinations at this point.
Three other teachers from Kolar, were taken into custody in March. The SSLC(school final) exams., also are running side by side, from April 2.
33 students were debarred (expelled) fro copying in the hall, said a release from SSLC Board and these were from Kolar, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Chikkamaglur and Chikballapur districts.
