Mangaluru: Union Minister for drinking water supply Ramesh Jigajanagi inaugurated the demonstration on cashless transactions to create awareness among the public, on Wednesday in front of Town Hall.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the government is aiming for 100 percent cashless transactions in each village. Cooperation from the public is very much needed for that.
“Officers are working hard to implement the governmental programmes. Efforts will be continuing to achieve 100 percent cashless transactions in the country. It has been effectively adapted in many villages,” he said.
In the demonstration programme 36 companies including 12 nationalised banks, BSNL, Postal Service and others had taken part.
