Mangalore: Amid fierce discussions on Church attacks in 2008 and the Somashekhar Commission Report that has displeased Bishops and Archbishop for its missing the target, The Mangalore catholic Diocese is geared to celebrate its 125th anniversary with posters and publicity alike, with a Logo to go, besides observing the 25 year commemoration on Sunday of Pope Join Paul second visit to Mangalore near Bajpe was taken up.
The Milagres Church was decorated for the Mass held by Bishop of Mangalore, Aloysius’ Paul D’Souza Bishops of 15 areas coming under the Diocese were presented with the huge candles to burn.
A large cross was taken to 159 churches under the Diocese, before being handed over to Fr.Valerion D’Souza, who dedicated the 2011 year to youth and community progress.
