Udupi : Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr MT Reju has informed that eight persons who had been appointed as Village Accountants but were found to have produced fake marks cards while submitting applications have been dismissed from service. Five others who too have submitted fake marks cards and are yet to undergo training, will soon face action, he said.
Speaking to reporters, the DC said of the total 24 applications received, 13 had faked their PUC marks cards with qualification for the job being second PUC pass. It is learnt the 13 who had failed had forged their marks cards. If eight have been appointed on probationary basis, three have been selected but yet to join training. Police cases have also been registered against them, the DC said.
He further added there was suspicion when the eight appointed did not have basic knowledge and also did not know proper Kannada. Their marks cards were sent for scrutiny to the PUC board when the truth came to light that they were fake, the DC said.
Jayalaxmi S from Uchila-Someshawar in Mangalore, appointed at Udyavar, Lohitashwa N K from Channarayapatna, Hassan, appointed at Andaru, Karkala and Nagaraj G from Chikkaballapur, appointed at Molahalli in Kundapur Venkatesha M from Devanahalli, Bangalore, appointed at Kundapur, Basavaraj S P from Belur, Hassan, appointed at Aloor, Raghavendra P from Pandavapur, Mandya, appointed at Hermunde, Karkala, Kumar K from Honnavali, Davangere, appointed at Kantavar, Karkala, Laxminarayana K M from Chikkaballapur, appointed at Jepthi in Kundapur, are the persons who reportedly forged their certificates.
Harish K V from Shikaripura, Shimoga, Pavitra B C from Honnavali, Davangere, Asha V S from Honnavali, Davangere, Dinesh Kumar C from Soraba, Shimoga, Revanna Gowda G T from Ashoknagar, Shimoga, and Vasanth Kumar from Turuvekere, Tumkur are the other five accused who have been selected but yet to undergo training.
