Bangalore: About 1500 college lecturers (or junior professors) will be appointed in stages soon, in Degree Colleges of the state, to remove the increasing shortage of such lecturers, Dr.V.S.Achrya, minister for higher education told on Thursday  the media persons here.
The proposed had been sent to the KPSC, he added. The appointments would take place in stages. The shortage was in teaching English, Mathematics and such other subjects. CM has been kept informed on the matter. The finance Ministry also had to accept the proposal, Dr.Acharya said.
Once the Supreme Court verdict comes handy, professional; course admissions, seats distribution and related matters could b discussed with Comed-K, the minister indicated today at the media meet.
