Mangaluru : Sanjeev Matandoor assumed charge as the new President of Dakshina Kannada BJP on Saturday at Town Hall.

He is replacing Pratap Simha Nayak who was the former district president.

Speaking at the occasion MP Naleen kumar Kateel said that it is a great day for Sanjeev Matandoor. Now he has a higher responsibility to lead the DK BJP in a victorious way.

“During Pratap Simha Nayak’s time district BJP has created a unique identity in DK. Matandoor should work on the same path to develop BJP in the district. The present state government has already reached coma stage because of the dispute in the Congress party itself,” he said.

The new district President Sanjeev matandoor said that it is a great honor to me to be the President ofdistrict BJP.

“I have served as district general secretary for long 17 years finally I got the opportunity to be the President. It is a huge challenge for me and a big responsibility also. I am ready to take this responsibility and I will work to my level best,” he said.

MLC capt. Ganesh Karnik, former president Pratap Simha nayak, Deputy mayor Sumitra and others were present.
