Mangalore: A motor-cycle rally organized for 50th anniversary of Mysore IAF division in Mangalore on Thursday at 4 PM, with 16 members of Air Force Selection Board to create a public awareness among local youths towards Indian Air Force.

The Branch in Mysore for IAF selection is the only one for south India, and others are in Dehra Dun and Varanasi.

Group captain IVR Rao led the S.I. touring motor-cyclist here. The rally lasts 16 days. The team will cover 5000kms on bikes all over South India, passing through 12 places before returning to Mysore.

In Mangalore, at St.Aloysius College the team distributed pamphlets on IAF service and its procedures, on September 22. NCC officer Suresh Athri welcomed the rally. The team has already covered 900 kms. They leave for Goa at 6AM on September 23, Friday.
