Mangalore: The largest cruise(shipping) vessel, named M.V. Brilliance of the Seas, with a sleek Swiftness, panoramic vistas, and wide-open spaces, placed in the beautiful radiance-class ships in the world, called at Panambur(New Mangalore)Port on Sunday.
It is the largest luxury cruise vessel from Royal Caribbean International, handled by the NMPT ever, with a length of 196 feet on berth no.14, holding 1962 passengers and 860 servicemen(crew) eager to go round West coast.
About 1600 travellers opted to go round local tourist locations, like Soans Farm, Karkala Gomata statue, Kadri Temple, SAC Chapel, Kudroli shrine, Pilikula scenary, Summerstands(at Ullal), and Cashew processing units, besides a Jain temple in Moodubidri, among other sights to see.
Dr. P. Tamilvanan presented a bouquet of fresh flowers to the captain of the ship. The visitors were impressed by tidy berthing area, concrete roads, immigration facility and surrounding nature/ greenery.
More vessels are likely to arrive in spring season. The vessel left for Cochin later at night. It may return on April 12.
