Mangaluru : Mangaluru city corporation mayor Kavitha Sanil said, five e-toilets, in association with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), will come up soon in the city. Two each will come at Kadri, Lalbagh and one near Hampankatta signal.

Speaking the reportors at Press Club she said, the plans are on the anvil to give a new lease of life to 18 parks in MCC limits involving both local corporators and citizens. A dedicated committee will be formed for the upkeep of the parks.

The other plans include Wi-Fi at zero tolerance stretches, building hi-tech bus stand, erecting name plates for the benefit of visitors, mandatory waste segregating units at apartments while obtaining construction licence, rejuvenation of lakes, removal of unnecessary cable lines from defunct poles belonging to Telecom department, to name a few.

Formor mayor Shashidhar Hegde, DK Journalist union Jaganath Shetty Bala, Secretory Srinivas Indaje and others were present.
