Mangalore : A youth identified as Kumar (18) was stabbed  by unidentified assailants near the Dwara at Akashbhavan near Konchady in Mangalore on the night of June 15, Friday. The seriously injured youth succumbed on Saturday morning.

The killed who was a resident of Akashbhavan was on way to a nearby shop when the assailants, four in number, waylaid him and stabbed him on his stomach. A gang rivalry is suspected to be the cause of the murder. It is being said that the killed youth belonged to a gang led by one Pradeep  and that the assailants had intercepted him wanting to know about Pradeep.

Kavoor police are conducting investigations.
