Mangalore : Pandeshwar police have arrested two persons named   Nawaz Mohammed (33) of Jeppu Bappal and Ravindranath Nayak (32), a Bijai New Road  on the charges of preparing and selling fake certificates of Mangalore University.

Acting on a tip off, the Pandeshwar inspector waylaid Nawaz who was riding his scooter near Suchashnagar junction and seized a fake certificate of an engineering student named BS Jayaprakash.

During interrogation, he admitted his guilt and revealed information regarding his associate Ravindranath Nayak who was then arrested. Police have seized several fake documents, computers, a laptop and other goods worth Rs one lakh from them.

Investigations are in progress.
