Mangalore :  Two persons named Abdul Salam and Mohammad Sinan from Bajal Jalligudde have been arrested by a police team led by SI Ramesh Hanapura near Yekkur on October 1, Tuesday for robbing truck drivers on highways.  Three others who were in a car managed to escape.

Those who escaped are Hussain, Arshad and Naufal.  The accused had on September 30, Monday night  had looted a truck driver named Vijay near Thokkottu Kapikad wielding weapons and a fake gun. They were wanted in similar three other cases.

Police have seized their car, a cash of Rs 7500, iron rods etc from them. The car is said to be hired by them and was owned by a man from BC Road.
