Mangalore : Two bike riders lost their lives when they were knocked down by a tempo  on Padil-Maroli road on the afternoon of February 8, Friday. The deceased are Anand Devadiga (46)  of Bajal and Santosh (28) of Karkala.

The bike riders who were on way to Padil from Nantur, hit the road divider and fell onto the road when a speeding tempo crushed them.

If Santosh died on the spot, Anand passed away at the hospital. It is learnt, both were on way to Kankanady Railway Station when the accident took place.

Kankanady Rural police have registered a case.
