Bellary: Ms. J. Shantha and Sanna Pakkeerappa, Bellary and Raichur MPs originally from BJP, have been removed from the party by the high Command for anti-party activities.

Both are related to B. Sriramulu, who had resigned from BJP to contest Bellary rural by-poll as an Independent candidate, among 5 others.

It was an expected step taken by BJP in larger interests as on Saturday, albeit belated and in a hesitant way. K.S. Eshwarappa  made the announcement in Bellary, as conveyed by Sushma S., and approved by LK Advani in New Delhi to him.

MLA   Anand Singh has been spared the blow. Yet, state BJP is still unsure about suspending G. Somashekhar Reddy and G. Karunakar Reddy.

The canvassing activity by BJP now has sharpened on a single point of winning the by-poll, set on November 30 with results due on December 4.
