Mangalore: A 2-day national level conference for nurses, organised by St. Ann’s College of Nursing, was inaugurated in Bajjodi at the Shanthi Kiran Hall in city on Friday, January 20.
B.V. Kathyayini, Principal of Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Nursing was the guest of honour. The theme of the conference was on critical thinking for Nurses. The speaker stressed on its importance, and suggested that need for questioning oneself arose only at workshops and conferences. Critical thinking was part of nursing profession, as a nurse who cannot think in her strides, could do no justice to her profession.
Chairperson of Trained Nurses Association, Sister Gilbert who is principal of san Joe College of Nursing in Kerala was a chief guest on the occasion. St. Ann’s group chairman Eric Lobo presided.
Prof. Jacinta D’Souza, organiser, Sudha Maheshwari, Secretary, Principal Maria Pinto and others attended the programme.
