Kundapur: In a tragic incident, two fishermen have met a watery grave in two incidents at Gangolli on November 13, Tuesday.

In the first case, a fisherman named Sheena Kharvi (55) fell off a fishing boat named ‘Kanakadurga’ after he ventured  into fishing from Gangolli. Though he was immediately rescued and rushed to hospital, he breathed his last there. The deceased was a resident of Koderi.

In another case, a fisherman named Sukra Kharvi(40)  also drowned after he fell into the river from his boat “Yaksheshwari Kripa.”

His body was found on Wednesday evening after a thorough search.

Gangolli police have registered both the cases.
