First it was ‘Syed Madani’ a gillnet boat with four fishermen on board, that faced the brunt of the rough seas and then it was the turn of ‘Sania’ a trawler boat with equal number of fishermen on board which dashed against a heap of sand.
The fishermen ashore noticing the two boats in trouble, rushed to help in another boat and rescued the fishermen in trouble. The rescued fishermen are Santosh, Sanjeeva, Umesh, Suresh, Manohar, Johnson, Jonam and Shravan. The last four are from Tamil Nadu.
Here it may be recalled that four fishermen whose boat had capsized on Sunday, too had been rescued in a similar fashion.
