Mangalore: In a tragic road mishap, two persons lost their lives and two others were injured at Jeppinamogaru on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased are Suguna (70) and Ashrith Alva(20). The mishap took place when the Wagon R  in which they were travelling  rammed into a bus while overtaking a tanker. The bus was plying on the Mangalore-Konaje route. The bus, it is learnt, was moving on the wrong side.

Both Ashrith and Suguna died  on the spot while Geeta Alva and Sharavu Alva(12) sustained injuries.

The deceased Suguna was the sister of Sadananda, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Member.

The injured have been admitted to Omega Hospital.
