Bangalore: The Vijayanagar Congress MLA and property owner ‘Layout’ Krishnappa’s house and office was raided for enquiry on Thursday morning, as Lokayukta special Judge N.K. Sudheendra Rao has ordered to file an enquiry report against M. Krishnappa and his son Priya Krishna, an MLA of Govindrajanagar in city.

The house of P. Krishna was also raided for unaccounted wealth and incriminating document or evidence.

The two teams were led by Dy SP Ponnaraju, early this mooring (February 16), and all of them are searching all over 2 houses and 2 offices of the 2 MLAs (father and son).

The enquiry is conducted under corruption control Act. Se. 156(3) for possessing wealth illegal and disproportionate to the family’s known source of income.

The court order was issued to Lokayukta police on January 17, 2012.

A private complaint made by Rajajinagar resident H.C. Prakash led to the raids.

The accrued are M. Krishnappa MLA Son Priya Krishna, wife Priyadarshini and son Pradeep in a joint family.
