Kasargod : The Kumble police have taken custody 2 persons in connection to married woman death near her home on Wednesday February 1 at Naykapu-Darbar Katte Road in Kumble.

The deceased woman, identified as Susheela (42), wife of Narayan. The body was found dumped among bushes under a cashew tree on Wednesday afternoon, near her home. Noose made from a sari was found to have been tightened around the neck of the victim. The police personnel, who took up investigation, took the lady’s husband, Narayan, and son, Uday, for questioning based on suspicion. They are being interrogated now.

Susheela was found missing from her home, the arrested duo claimed. They also said that when they went searching for her, she was found hanging from a a cashew tree and that they had brought the body down from the tree.

But, the police have dismissed their claims. They said they are investigating this death from all angles including murder.
